After bending my shaft KAP Speargun Shaft on a 42.7lb Giant Trevally or Ulua (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uep6E...) as we call it in Hawai'i, I had to order a new shaft. Normally when you buy a new speargun shaft the flopper is already installed on the bottom of the shaft but from as long as I can remember I always shot my spearguns with a flopper on the top. It's just preference and what I'm used to I guess. I feel like I land more fish this way. Every time I buy a new shaft I always flip the flopper and this is how you do that & how you tune your flopper so it engages on impact and doesn't loosely fall down where you can lose fish.
