Rigging A Flasher On Your Speargun

Posted by Venture Wetsuits on

Any type of advantage to get fish swim closer to you is the difference between shooting a fish or watching it swim by. All my guns have these flashers rigged on them and just by shaking the gun helps bring fish a little closer. If you watch some of my other spearfishing videos closely you can tell. I get asked a lot if it tangles in your shooting line or reel line and the answer is no. I've used these on all my guns for as long as I can remember and have had no such issues. The flasher has...

When I first starting diving I only used three prong. It taught me patience and how to stalk and track fish. Like most of us, I started with a yellow fiberglass 3-prong from Walmart. There were way more misses then hits, but every hit felt so rewarding.   Through time in the water I eventually purchased a gun which I used 99% of the time after that. Only till a few months ago I purchased an Evolve Diving 3-Prong I was stoked to give it a shot after all the great things I heard about this 3-Prong. I bought the collapsible 9ft...

It's a low volume mask that felt comfortable on deeper drops and on those deeper drops when the air in your mask compresses, on the way back up to the surface the air expands giving you just a little taste of air that you can breathe on the way back up. I was able to do that each time without wasting any air or water entering my mask. Of course through heavy use, wear and tear,...
